Becoming a Hand

  • Sessions 2-4
  • Simple ground work exercises
  • Learning what “feel” is
  • Becoming the leader
  • Learning how to ride (guided by a lead, and two side riders)
  • Balance, eye, hand, and seat skills

The Wrangler
Phase 1

  • Scheduled group or individual sessions
  • Preparing the horse to ride
  • Equipment and how it is used
  • Mounting, go, whoa, turns, emergency stops

The Wrangler
Phase 2

  • Scheduled group or individual sessions
  • Knowing where the horses feet are
  • Directing the horse through advanced movements
  • Obstacles and speed transitions

Earn Your Spurs

  • Scheduled group or individual sessions
  • Riding as one with the horse using advanced leadership
  • Open country and trail riding
  • Campfires and Bull sessions (sharing and learning from fellow participants)
